At Pembrokeshire College we are pleased to be able to offer a Fine Dining Experience in our Restaurant and Coffee Shop, serving dinner on Thursday evenings and lunches Monday to Friday. From morning coffee and light bites in the Coffee Shop to a substantial lunch or dinner in the Restaurant, our students are catering for everyone.
We follow worldwide catering trends and are continually changing menus in order to develop and challenge our future Chefs and Front of House professionals for the hospitality industry. Dishes are prepared and cooked by students, using local seasonal produce where possible, and guided closely by our team of Chefs. From time to time you will encounter varied styles of service, this is to ensure all the students complete the course criteria.
Due to the popularity of our Coffee Shop and Restaurant, early booking is essential, large groups and private parties are welcome. Please advise if any persons in your group have any special dietary requirements or allergens and confirm your booking one week prior to the event with a member of the catering team.
Hospitality & Catering Student Success
Catering students develop at Pembrokeshire College through classroom to kitchen teaching. Students also receive coaching and mentoring for local, regional and national competitions.
Competing helps students to face challenges that will ultimately improve both their performance and their ability to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen; raising their personal bar is great preparation for their bursary placements.
The bursaries expose students to some of the most high profile and demanding restaurants and hotels in the industry.
Students Gain Five Star Placements And Five StarRecognition
“I have learnt so much during my time at College and now to go somewhere like Gleneagles to add the finishing touches is just amazing!” said Emily Morris.
Pembrokeshire College catering student, Sam Everton, won Gold at the prestigious Advanced Professional Cookery competition held at Coleg Llandrillo in February. Part of the Skills Wales Competition, Sam was up against level three competitors despite being a level two student himself.

The College prides itself on developing talented Chefs and Front-of-House professionals for the industry. The catering team know what’s trending in food and drink and react accordingly by continually changing the menus. Our students prepare all the dishes using seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally. For consistent quality, exquisite taste and value for money, you cannot beat the Restaurant.
FADE: A Culinary Membership
It is the support of the local community of Pembrokeshire, through a subscription to our fine dining club called FADE, that has given our students a culinary edge. Without FADE our students would not have received the exposure or experience of working in demanding and competitive work placements. It is because of FADE that they have achieved their goals and will continue to achieve further success in their chosen career within the hospitality and catering industry.
Hospitality and Catering lecturers recently took students for a culinary experience to Florence, Italy.
For some students leaving UK shores was a ‘first’ and for a few leaving Pembrokeshire was more than a little daunting. The anticipation truly paid off by a well planned, hectic schedule of cultural and fun activities. Professional Catering students dined in famous Italian eateries including; Four Seasons Hotel and Restaurant II Porcospino, witnessing some of the city’s busiest restaurants in full swing.
Students visited a cheese making factory in Lesignana Modena, enjoyed the visual delights and smells of Italian food markets and put their nose into wine tasting at Gaviolo Vini Wine Cellar.
